(Posting this here as your Perth branch and customer service team have completely ignored us).
I would give this company zero stars if I could. I was part of a group left completely stranded by your Perth Airport branch, and more than three months later, we still have not received our $614 refund.
Our group booked a 7-seater Nissan Serena for 7-12 March 2026. On the morning of 7 March, right as we arrived at Perth Airport at 5am, the company called to say the car wasn't available. They tried to push a smaller vehicle on us, which was completely useless for our group size.
Because they had no proper replacement, their Perth staff explicitly instructed us to cancel the booking on our end, promising a full refund within a few days. We trusted them, processed the cancellation as instructed, and had to scramble at the airport to find an alternative rental company.
Since that morning, we have been completely GHOSTED.
Customer service emails are being ignored. Worse yet, because your staff sneakily told us to initiate the cancellation, our bank in Singapore couldn't dispute the charge because the paperwork makes it look like we cancelled on our own terms. It was a dirty trick to avoid accountability and pocket our money.
Absolutely disgusting behaviour just for a couple hundred bucks. Do not book with this company, no matter how competitive the prices look.
Management: If someone from the Hobart team actually has the integrity to look into this Perth branch mess and return our money, I will update this review.

Just have to note that the communication between the head office and the branch wasn't great.
I was at the airport earlier then expected and head office assured me I could call with internet to let the company know I arrived. Unfortunately this wasn't the case and Chamika was also surprised I was there early. So head office could do better!




Communication: They offered a free shuttle but didn't pick up the phone for 20 mins. Had to take an Uber.
Facility: No signs, very hard to find the office.
Availability: Even with a month-old booking, they had no car for me. No apology, just a "take it or leave it" attitude.
Service: The staff acted like this happens every day. They offered a so-called "upgrade" which was clearly an inferior car.
They wasted our time and money. When we asked for a cancellation, they did it without even asking why. Unprofessional and unreliable. Stay away.

Customer service always helpful and friendly on the phone and in person.
Definitely be using this company again.


Drove around for a few days and handed back the car this Sunday. Quick and smooth handover before the business dropped us of at the airport again. Will definetly book with SafeDrive next time we’re in town. Thank you!



After returning the car, we believe we left a Samsung phone between the driver and passenger seat, but when we contacted them about it, they said they couldn’t find anything,which is hard to believe if a proper inspection was done before re-renting the vehicle. We even asked them to contact the current driver to help check, and they agreed but never followed up or got back to us as promised.
I had to call twice in one day and again the next day, and there was still no update or progress; they just kept saying they would call back “ASAP” but never did. On top of that, they didn’t inform us that the credit card authorisation (hold) would be automatically cancelled when we returned the car.
Overall, their customer service was very poor, communication was unreliable, and they failed to handle basic issues and follow up on their commitments. Based on our experience and similar complaints from other customers about communication and service, I cannot recommend their service.

The car was clean, comfortable, and in perfect condition throughout my 5-day stay. Returning the car was just as easy, with drop-off right at the airport—super convenient, especially when travelling.
Overall, I’m very satisfied with the service. I’d happily hire from them again and would highly recommend them to anyone visiting Hobart.

After that, the company charged me an administrative fee. We called to ask for an explanation and were told that the details would be sent “as soon as possible.” It has now been almost two weeks, and there has been no update at all.
If you are considering renting a car from this company, please think carefully before making your decision.

We picked up a high KM car (80,000km) with knocking suspension sounds and spongy brakes. The website never mentioned that we're paying for a high KM car unlike other major car rental companies that specify that. The interior of the car is not clean, wiped down the steering wheel myself and it was full of oil and stains and missing the boot cover for our luggages at the back. The car (Kia Cerato) had lots of existing scratches and dents along with worn carpet and broken plastic bits on the interior. What made me mad was that the tank wasn't even full when we picked the car up!!! Upon checking the trip computer, it had travelled over 100kms since refueling, so I took a photo of that as evidence. When I returned the car, they tried to sting me for not returning it full even though I filled up the car around 15kms away and returned it with the fuel gauge BEYOND the full marker! I confronted the guy who were trying to accuse me of not filling it up properly with the photo of the fuel gauge when I picked it up then he had nothing to say back to me.
The whole experience feels cheap and 'scammy' especially they pick you up with your own rental car instead of a shuttle bus like other well established rental car company offsite. Not worth saving a few dollars, go with the bigger companies.

No hidden surprises, just smooth and good vibes. Thanks for making our travel easy, will 100% book with you guys again when I'm at Tassie next time 💃✈️
